News & Articles Scrutineering of the 2022 Historic Acropolis Rally is completed
The Technical and Administrative Inspection of the cars competing at the 2022 Historic Acropolis Rally, both on the Sporting / Legends and Regularity races, was hosted today (3/6) at the Velodrome of Athens’ Olympic Stadium – a few hours before the Ceremonial Start on Saturday morning (09:30) at the foothills of the Parthenon.
For the Sporting / Legends race, the cars of all 40 crews that have registered – including the 4 in the Legends category – passed the technical inspection. After the starting ceremony, their first competitive test, at 10:53 on Saturday morning (4/6), is the “Skourta” Special Stage.
For the Historic Acropolis Regularity Rally, out of the total of 62 entries, 56 passed through the Administrative and Technical Inspection. Among them are the 13 motorcyclists who are participating -for the first time- in this year’s event. The first competitin for the Regularity race starts at 10:31 tomorrow morning, from Ippokrateios Politeia on the outskirts of Athens.
After today’s Scrutineering, the rallying action will send the competitors tomorrow for the overnight stay in the city of Itea, after 6 Special Stages for the Sporting / Legends crews and 10 tests for the Regularity competitors. The last of these stages for each category will be run during the night, in the “Karoutes” Special Stage and around Itea, respectively.
